Saraswati Temple Ubud

The temple is a Hindu holy place in Bali and Saraswati temple Ubud is one of them. This temple, as the name suggests is a place of worship of Dewi Saraswati (Goddess of Knowledge). Saraswati Temple is one of the popular tourist attractions in the central area of ??Ubud.

To find the location of the temple you can access it from Jalan Kajeng which is adjacent to Jalan Raya Ubud. The exact location is behind Café Lotus Ubud. This holy temple has a difference with other temples in Bali. If you depart from Kuta Bali to the Saraswati Temple Ubud, it will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. This temple has a lot of ponds with many red lotus flowers and neatly arranged water parks. This lotus pond is the main attraction of the Saraswati Temple.

Many frangipani flower trees are adorning the edge of the pond, and there is a bridge connecting the outer area of ??the temple to the main gate area of ??the temple. When you cross the bridge you will see many statues lined up on the edge of the bridge. Then you will see the beauty of the main gate with the number of three large doors with gold ornaments.

Tourists are prohibited from entering the area in the temple because only visitors who wish to pray can be entered into the temple area. Upon entering the temple area, from the main gate, you will see a high wall, and behind the wall, there is a giant statue about 3 meters high. On the northeast side, you will see a shrine called Padmasana. At the base of the Padmasana building, there is a sculpture in the shape of a turtle wrapped around two Dragons.

Saraswati Temple Ubud has a stage for combating Balinese dance such as the Kecak dance. The stage is surrounded by lotus ponds. Schedule of traditional Balinese dance performances held at night starting at 19:30. Balinese dance performances every night are staged at the Saraswati Temple with different types of dances.

Except on Friday, there is no Balinese dance performance.
