Kerta Gosa Klungkung is one of the many historic tourist attractions that must be preserved on the island of Bali. Designed with typical Balinese architecture and carvings tell the history of being a vacation location and learning history. No wonder this place is often crowded with tourists who want to admire its uniqueness.

Kerta Gosa tourist attractions are in the city center of Klungkung Regency. The location is right in front of the Klungkung regent's office. The distance you will travel is about 40 km from the city of Denpasar, eastward by crossing the Bypass of Prof. Dr. Ida Bagus Mantra.

Formerly Kerta Gosa Klungkung was a building used as a place to hold discussions to discuss the welfare and prosperity of the people of Klungkung. This is following the meaning of the name "Kerta Gosa", where "Kerta" means welfare or prosperity, then "Gosa" means discussion or discussion place.

The Kerta Gosa Klungkung building was built in 1686 by the first authority holder, Ida I Dewa Agung Jambe and is part of the Klungkung royal building complex. However, during the Dutch colonial period, Kerta Gosa was converted to a place of justice. Kerta Gosa is a thick building with traditional Balinese elements.

Kerta Gosa has two buildings or more commonly called Bale, such as Bale Kertagosa and Bale Kambang. When you are in Kerta Gosa you will see the uniqueness that you rarely encounter in other places, namely the bale ceiling covered by wayang paintings. The paintings illustrate the case being tried and what kind of punishment will be received if you make a mistake.

In addition to these two buildings, there is also a museum that is visited by tourists. The museum holds historical objects from the Klungkung kingdom and objects used by traditional Balinese traditional courts in the past. So what dominates the story on the bale roof at Kertagosa is about the actions of the nutmeg Khala so that the bale at the time of the kingdom was used for the judiciary.

The very interesting is the seat of the royal era relics, it has been renovated, it’s still arranged neatly like how it was in the royal era, its place or position when conducting the judge.
