Batuan Traditional Balinese House

The second is a stand-alone house sometimes with a separate pavilion for the kitchen, and the third is a residential complex, where rows of houses belonging to different families of lineage stand face to face on the left and right sides of the land slot.

This third type, families usually have 2 houses, one as a normal house and the other as a kitchen. The first and second types are usually found in the lowlands where people live with irrigation systems. Their home complex or one standing house is usually surrounded by a private wall with an entrance gate called "Angkul-Angkul". The position of the house is either in dense complexes or scattered over long distances from each other. The third is where houses are located in dense complexes usually settlements in the highlands.

On the island of the gods, the original Batuan Traditional Balinese House is very often used as a place to shoot bride and groom couples to make pre-wedding photos. The bride and groom will use traditional Balinese clothing to match the background of the house. Bali clothes that they used in photo shoots are luxurious or simple.
